The Besten Difference
Why dry carbon? Simply put, it is superior in every way. Wet carbon, also known as FRC or FRP carbon, is subject to the same manufacturing processes as fiberglass. In fact, most wet carbon fiber products are constructed of more fiberglass than carbon, with a small carbon layer on top to achieve the CF look. When manufacturing wet carbon there is a risk of air bubbles being trapped in between layers and inside the weave, causing both weak points in the product and visual imperfection. We find this process to be unacceptable and inferior, especially when dressed on exotic and luxury marquees, which is why we are dedicated to producing 100% dry carbon components.
Besten prides itself on creating products with the highest quality dry carbon construction available. All Besten dry carbon products are vacuum bagged and cured in an autoclave. Using this method, resin is infused in the carbon thus eliminating the chance of bubbles forming. This pure carbon construction makes them lighter and stronger than the wet carbon fiberglass imitation products on the market.
